Grandmaster Mover of the month
Moving is hard work that rarely gets a thank-you. This page is where it gets one.
This month's Grandmaster
Our first Grandmaster Mover gets named here soon. Send your best work below.

Photo and video tips
- Shoot vertical. Most people watch this on a phone, so hold it upright.
- Wipe the lens. Trucks and gloves smear it. Do it before every clip.
- Set the phone down. Prop it on a box or the truck ramp. A steady wide shot beats a shaky close one.
- Before and after. Empty truck, then full truck. Bare room, then finished room. Same spot both times.
- Keep the light behind you. Don't shoot into a window or the sun.
- Keep it short. Under a minute works best for Reels and Shorts.
- Protect the customer. No house numbers, faces, mail or family photos unless they've said yes.
- Safety first. Nobody films during a dangerous lift. Set the camera up before, or skip that shot.
Rules and permission
By uploading a clip or photo, you agree that:
- You keep ownership of your clip. You give Checkmate Moving a non-exclusive licence to edit and post it, with credit to you.
- You shot it yourself, and you have the OK from your employer and the customer.
- Anyone who can be recognized in it has agreed, crew and customers included.
- You can ask us to stop using it in new posts at any time. Posts already up may stay.
- You're 18 or older.
What you get
Recognition. That's the whole thing.
Each month we name one Grandmaster Mover. Movers near the top of the leaderboard get spotlighted on this page and a shoutout on Checkmate's socials. Free exposure for your work, and for your business if you run one.
Bonus: we turn your clips into posts at no charge, and you're free to share them on your own pages.
Share your spotlight post on your own page and tag your business. That's what it's there for.
Checkmate Moving is a booking and referral service, not a moving company. Moves are done by independent partner movers.
