How much will my move cost?

Are quotes really free?
Yes. Asking for a quote costs nothing and there's no pressure to book.
Where do you move?

How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can, especially for month-end and summer dates. If your move is coming up fast, still reach out. Call or text and we'll give you a straight answer on availability.
Do you move in rain or snow?
Yes. On rainy or snowy days we pad and cover everything going in and out.
Do you do small moves or just a few items?
Small and partial moves are welcome. A few rooms or a few big pieces, just ask.
Can you help load or unload my own truck or container?
Yes, we can help load or unload a truck or container you've arranged.
Can you help with packing?

Will I deal with the owner?
Yes. Checkmate Moving is owner-operated and local, so you're dealing with the owner's business directly, not a call centre.
What about heavy or awkward items?
Tell us about them up front, like a piano, safe, gym equipment, or a big sectional. Call or text and we'll give you a straight answer on whether and how we can move it.
What should I have ready on move day?
Boxes packed, taped, and labelled. Elevator booked if you have one. A clear spot for the truck. Our free moving checklist covers the rest.
